The Institute for CAM Studies was founded by Dr. Mary Jo Bulbrook and is offered through AU’s affiliate partner, Energy Medicine Partnerships (EMP), which has been in business since 1996. EMP offers a variety of energy therapies internationally to promote health and healing. Standards of education are supervised under the direction of AU’s board of directors. AU has three colleges providing exemplary education: Integrative Health College, Universal Equality College, and Planetary Health College. The Institute for CAM Studies is offered in the Integrative Health College providing CAM degrees for college credit for diplomas, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral education. AU’s department of community service and continuing education offers CEUs. Offered through Energy Medicine Partnerships, AU Affiliate Akamai University, (AU) provides continuing education for practitioners and educators in complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) through the Institute for CAM Studies, Energy Medicine Partnerships (EMP), AU Affiliate. CE’s are offered through 4 organizations: EMP, an Approved Provider of continuing education for CAM Practitioners, Educators, & Researchers; the Association of Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP) for Diplomate in Comprehensive Energy Psychology (DCEP) or Certified Energy Health Practitioner (CEHP) recertification; Approved Provider for CE for National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork; and an Approved Provider with the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada for Natural Health. Akamai University offers CAM Certificate Seekers who participate in IANDS symposium up to 0.8 CEU’s (continuing education units) or 1 CEU with a two-hour additional mentorship with Dr. Bulbrook applying what was learned towards one’s professional educational goals. Certificate in Near Death and Spiritual Transformative Experiences. Participation in the IANDS symposium and other IANDS educational programs, can be applied to meet requirements for this certificate. Also, IANDS and ISGO educational programs and events can also qualify toward university credit programs. (An additional charge will be made for extra 2 hour mentoring if requested with a few scholarships for those in need).
