American Odyssey is the first book of a major book series called “Born in Asia” – Stories of Celebrated Asian Americans” written by Rose Hong. The selected stories and Asian Americans will also be featured in the “Born in Asia” TV documentary produced and hosted by Rose Hong. The book will be donated to the Library of Congress, and Asian museums around the country.

American Odyssey, From Beijing to Washington, is a new autobiography written by Rose Hong, an American author, TV producer, host and international business executive.
At a time when our nation is facing the heated debate on immigration policies and racial divisions, American Odyssey is a book that's told by the author herself of her life's journey as a new first-generation immigrant. She came to the United States with only $35 dollars and speaking broken English. Rose Hong started her American odyssey with nothing and now she is an accomplished American citizen, and her work has impacted the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. Asian Americans are the fastest-growing major ethnic group in the United States. More than 20 million Asians now live in America. Asian Americans contribute in every sector of our society and trace their roots to more than 20 countries in the East, Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent; each with their unique histories, cultures, languages, and other characteristics. |

Rose Hong is an author, TV producer/host, and a business executive. Her distinguished international media, business and federal government career spans over 30 years. Hong has published numerous articles in major Chinese & US newspapers and magazines and has been the Executive Producer and TV Host for several hundred episodes of television programs in the US and China.
Her recent books include American Odyssey, Born in Asia (www.BorninAsia.com) and Natural Healing Discoveries (www.NaturalHealingDiscoveries.org). She also serves on a variety of civic and charitable boards, including Montero Medical Mission, which conducted medical and education outreaches by sending US volunteer doctors worldwide; Medical Music Symphonic Group, which services our nation’s veterans and international medical causes; and the Federal Asian Pacific American Council.
